Female Shelter Care
New Horizon Center Female Shelter Care Program is a short term (typically 30 days) Residential Program that provides a safe, non-secured, monitored environment for youth awaiting court hearings, placement in foster care, group home care, residential treatment or pending a return home.
As a Temporary shelter care agency, our goal is to provide a safe and nurturing environment that fosters high expectations, promotes healthy boundaries and challenges each young lady to make sound and critical decisions for a life time of positive change.
- Program Highlights include:

- 7 days a week 24 hours a day intake and placement services
- Capacity of 20 females with private dorm-like rooms
- Planned recreational opportunities on unit and in community
- Two Honors Rooms for youth who display consistent positive behaviors
- Crisis Counseling and Therapeutic Interventions / Daily attendance monitoring
